One of my favourite singers is Blake Lewis, who first rose to prominence as the runner-up of the sixth season of American Idol. His newest album, Wanderlust Unknown, officially came out today, though as a pledger on IndieGoGo I’ve been fortune to listen to it for a few weeks now.
An aspect of Blake’s musical output over the years that I’ve really enjoyed is that he isn’t afraid to try and experiment with a different sound with each album he puts out. Wanderlust Unknown continues that trend, successfully merging different sounds and inspirations for a solid output.
My personal highlights from the album are Trouble, Pot of Gold, This Lonely Road (which is a duet with fellow Idol alum Elliott Yamin), Heart Stops Beating and the closing track So Fresh.
